Description:
Due to the limits of the modeler software it's not that easy as it seems to get a right final render with the right refraction,

reflection and caustics.
In the real life glass and liquid have no surfaces in common that's why it took to create an unusual geometry to get the right

glass shape.
So far then being focused on the "typical" glass section (thickness included of course) and then using the revolve object option.
You won't get the right final result.
Last but not least, the surface normals must have the right direction.
If you are interested take a look at the MAXWELL RENDER FORUM where some members of that community and I were talking about to

solve the problem above all about Subsurface Scattering materials (AKA SSS).
Over there I made lots of tests trying to get a final result (about the behaviour of the rifraction an caustics) pretty close to

the real life.
